We live on a small farm where we grow organic fruit and vegetables for our own consumption.

I am self-employed as a telecoms consultant, but all my earnings are still from the UK. I am also an elected Director of The Phone Co-op which is a successful consumer owned Co-operative, providing telecoms and internet services in the UK. I consider myself very lucky, because I can do all this work from my new home in Portugal using the internet as the main method of communication.

I wished the CIEBI Project had been set up when I first moved here, since it would have given me a shortcut to access local resources. It's main benefit so far has been to help me network with other SOHO workers who have also chosen to move to live in this area.
